The Malaria P.f. Ag Rapid Test Cassette (Whole Blood) is a rapid lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay intended for the qualitative detection of Plasmodium falciparum (P. falciparum) specific Histidine Rich Protein 2 (HRP-2) in human fingerstick whole blood and venipuncture whole blood specimens of symptomatic patients suspected of having malaria. Malaria P.f. Ag Rapid Test Cassette (Whole Blood) is intended to be used by trained healthcare or laboratory professionals or other health care workers who have received appropriate training. This product can be used by trained lay providers operating in point-of-care settings in resource-limited lower- and middle-income countries. This product is not intended for self-testing. The product is not automated, and it needs to be performed and interpreted manually by the trained user.
